Mathieu Robert, born on May 5th, 1992, is more than just an expert landscaper, designer, and fiberglass pool installer. He is a visionary in the world of outdoor spaces, with a passion for creating breathtaking landscapes that go beyond the ordinary. As the son of Guy Robert, the esteemed owner of Guy Robert Landscape and Design, Mathieu‘s roots in the art of landscaping run deep.
At the age of 14, Mathieu embarked on a journey alongside his father at Guy Robert Landscape and Design. It was here that he honed his skills, learning the ropes of the business and nurturing his innate talent for shaping outdoor spaces. His dedication and love for the craft led him to La Cité Collégiale, where he specialized in Construction, further enriching his knowledge and expertise.
As fate would have it, Mathieu‘s entry into the world of fiberglass pools marked a turning point for the family business. In 2010, he introduced the idea of incorporating fiberglass pools into their services. What started with the installation of around 20 pools during the summer season took a remarkable leap when the pandemic struck. Guy Robert Landscape and Design soared to new heights, witnessing a surge from 20 to over 100 pool installations per season, solidifying their position as the premier fiberglass pool company in Ottawa.
Amidst the challenges brought on by the pandemic, Mathieu discovered his passion for 3D rendering software, a transformative journey that would redefine his approach to design. Fuelled by his newfound ardor, Mathieu‘s designs transcended the conventional, breathing life into landscapes with an unorthodox and captivating touch.
Drawing inspiration from his father’s hand-drawn designs, Mathieu‘s creative vision blossomed, culminating in Guy Robert Landscape and Design receiving three prestigious awards from Landscape Ontario for excellence in 2024. These accolades stand as a testament to Mathieu‘s unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of landscape design.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mathieu‘s personal life is equally enriching. In 2017, he tied the knot with his beloved Kristina Payne, and together, they are blessed with a charming 5-year-old daughter, Sofia Robert.
